Control Panel becomes blank page - on migrated site
How Do I?
I’m trying to migrate a site to a backup server to allow some offline development work.
I’ve copied files, updated config files, checked permissions as per EE migration documentation from Ellis Labs and the site itself works OK.
However when I try to connect to the site control panel I can complete the login and then get a blank white screen. There appears to be no information being sent to the browser, but the browser URL has a session hash added to it, so presumably somewhere EE is working: it is just not sending the CP pages to my browser.
I can get the CP log in to send me an email to reset my login password too. But doing this (which works) does not resolve the ‘blank screen’ problem.
Anyone got any ideas about what might be going on?

I am having the exact same issue today on one of our site running EE 2.5.5 and this is not a migrated website. The front end is working well and we can access the CP login form.
It seems that the session ID is set to 0 each time after I submit the login form

I’m sorry - I did find the solution but it was a while ago now, and I can’t remember exactly. But pretty sure it was a path issue: in moving the site some settings didn’t get updated and so were pointing to the wrong path on the server.
