MSM Cross Site File Manager Sharing Sync Issues (Trying to share files across multi-sites)

Hi. We have a primary site with an upload directory. We then have a secondary site that has it’s File Upload Prefs configured to jump across to the path of the primary site so that the primary can share it’s images to the secondary.

For example: /server_root/primary_site_public_html/images/uploads/some_img_directory/

This works fine.

The challenge is that when we upload a new image via the CMS through an entry (field type of ‘file’) on the primary site - the secondary site will not see it until we manually click the “Synchronize” function within the secondary site’s File Upload Preferences for that directory.

Once we sync, the images uploaded through the primary’s CMS are now visible.

Any ideas how to ensure that synchronization happens automatically?
