How Do I?

Im re-building my site and there will be new channel areas where will be services shown up. Its basicly easy and I have already almost done the actual service “blog post” page, and have an brainstorm-like ideas going on how to list all services (main index for all services).

But, if this is going to get wings and there will be 100 + services shown, it might be a good idea to have some sort of category based settings to filter down what services visitor is looking for.

So, i would not like to start with categories involved just to avoid extra settings etc. and just using tags for to filter these services. Still I am not sure what is the way to go when keeping mind that there can be a lot of entries in some point and in different categories (as for now im just thinking to use tagging as category).

How this could be done the way that I’m not running to headache in future. How would you build this type of thing up?

By services I mean company overall information with what they do, what services they offer and where they are located with their website and social media url’s involved. Its a listing of companies that offers different type of services - so this is some kind of a online “phonebook” with a short infos per company and their services in general.

I can build and will build this up in a hurry cos deadline for me is almost here(crazy to set up a deadline for my own website LOL but its because the old one was serving users from 2007 till jan.2015) so would be nice to read some ideas, thanks.
