Hey guys:
Here’s my site here
As you can see, it is a single page. I am trying to make the ‘Topics of the Week’ into it’s own separate page. I have no previous experience with Expression Engine.
When I try to simply activate the Pages module, I find that it doesn’t exist! There are only 3 modules on my control panel, the screenshot is attached:
Can someone please help and show me how to add this module so I can deepen the site and make another page?
Thanks in advance.
If you are on a schedule that the volunteers/community folks can’t meet here in the forums you can purchase support through EllisLab: https://ellislab.com/support
Or check out the EE StackExchange: http://expressionengine.stackexchange.com/
Your question actually isn’t ‘extremely simple’ as I see you also have the Structure module installed. It plays in the same space as the Pages module (one way to think of Structure is the pages module on steroids). It could be this is why Pages isn’t showing (I’ve never used Structure so don’t know if it hides the Pages module).
If the ‘topics of the week’ is more dynamic than a static page you may be barking up the wrong tree with Pages anyway - it’s intent was to create simple/static about us kind of content - not anything more dynamic. EE isn’t a ‘Page-based’ CMS so don’t let the name of the Pages module fool you into thinking its the only way to get content to appear on the site.
If you have no previous experience with EE it might be worth reading some tutorials or buying some screencasts to get a better idea of how it thinks about content.
