'Manage' button in top navigation intermittently disappearing

We use Expression Engine for one of our client’s website and associated stores. There is a ‘Manage’ button we have in the top navigation that allows these stores to manage events at their particular stores. When we log in as stores, sometimes that button shows up and sometimes it does not. It does this at random. Any idea what might be going on here?

Do you have the code that’s responsible for that button?
I suspect it’s cookie related, and logging in with www vs no www.

It’s the cookie for that button. I am going to extend that to one year so users do not get this issue. Thank you.
