My experience of Expression Engine is only 1 day so forgive me if I am missing something obvious.
There is a template file which is included in all pages, called JavaScript. In there it contains references to all of the JavaScript .js files the site requires (jquery, bootstrap stuff, and custom JS).
The URL to one of these JavaScript files is:
/assets/js/customfile.js
My question: Can I edit the file via Expression Engine? Or do I have to upload the file with changes, and if so can I do it from within EE or do I have to FTP?
Thanks, Andrew
Hi Andrew,
You can certainly define a new template as a JS type template, place your script in it, then call it in your HTML templates. I’ve found that it’s easier to FTP the JS files to your server, and then use the regular HTML tags to call the files.
