Two simple requirements (hopefully)!

Hi,

I need to add two things to my new EE site;

1. A user needs to enter their email (which is recorded somehow) and when they have, they can get access to view a list of files to download. This list is just older copies of the magazine, so it’s not needing a huge level of security, we just want to know the email of people who want them.

2. The ability for me to make an entry that will allow an editor to upload new versions of a file to the site, and show them like a list, I know there is channel files; but is there nothing for free that can be used? The requirement seems pretty standard.

Any ideas?
