Howdy, folks. We’ve been happily using Vaya Design’s Simple Pagination for some time on our site, and happily so, as it allows us to paginate our pages quite, um, simply (with as little as a <!–nextpage–> inserted any place we want a break to happen). But all paginated pages show up with the same meta descriptions and title tags, causing us to ratchet up quite a bit of errors in Google Webmaster Tools under HTML improvements. I know that others have been able to address this (and this is what we would like to achieve) by adding Page 2, Page 3, etc. to their meta titles, but it seems everyone is using some other add-on. (Is it even possible for some fancy PHP code to take the /P2, /P3, etc. in our URLs and translate that to Page 2, Page 3, etc. in our meta tags?) This may not be even possible for us, meaning we may need to switch over to paginating our pages in a different way, but we’d like to treat that as a last resort. Any leads/ideas would be most appreciated.
