EE Discussion Forum to IP.Board migration & bridge?

I have a large site running on EE2. The Discussion Forum module is unfortunately a little too basic for our needs, and I’m looking to migrate 3000+ forum topics to IP.Board.

Does anyone have experience doing this? I remember stumbling upon a post here from someone saying they had done this (about half a year ago when I was researching this before) but cannot find it anymore.

I might be looking to hire someone who can succesfully migrate current forum content and implement a user account bridge.
