I think that is a silly newbie question, but I want change statuses from unpublished to published when an article reach the publication date.

Now when a future entry pass the date, the status remain unpublished, and I cannot see the entry.

I use working, unpublished, published to distinguish the processing status of an article.

I used the same in WP, that automatically changed the status of the entry on the publication date, I want to do the same with EE

Thanks for reply

EE has statuses. EE has entry dates and expiration dates. They do not affect one another.

In other words if you post an entry with an “open” status but an entry date set in the future the entry will not appear on the site until the entry date becomes current.

Entries with status other than “Open” will not be pulled by default - you’d have to specify those statuses as a parameter on the channel:entries tag on any template you want that content to appear on.

Ok, I used my statuses in search. I did not realize the independence of the date and status of the document.

Thanks
