Does anyone know of a real world coding example they can show me to post from an external sites form to my EE site?
I looked at the Open API add-on but I don’t understand the mechanics. I am a SEM strategist, not a programmer, heck I don’t even play one on tv lol.
So the external site is not an EE site. I want that external site to be able to post from their own form into a specific channel. Plus have a post back message (successful, failed, pending). Anyone feeling generous to help me out, I will pay it forward 😊
The only way I’ve ever done that is using the Metaweblog API and a 3rd party app that also supported it: http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/add-ons/metaweblog_api/

Thanks for the tip and links! I looked into Metaweblog API, interesting, it does not do exactly what I want but it’s a start 😊
I have looked into Open API extension as the next logic choice, just waiting to hear back from the dev. Will let you know what I come up with.
