/?/ in my URL with actived "Force URL query strings"

I have to activate the “Force URL query strings” because the server uses php as cgi and I don’t get the PATH_INFO. But now I have mydomain.com/?/mychannel/mychannelentry… in the url.

ugly. how can I get rid of the “/?” ?

Perhaps a url rewriterule in a .htaccess file?
