Hello,
I wonder using scaffolding is it possible to create:
2 column content and pictures ? The content must be editable - the user must be able to create either 1 or 2 column content using CMS.

Scaffolding? Not sure what you mean there.
That aside, create two fields in your channel column 1 and column 2. Have a conditional in your template that looks and if it sees content in the column 2 field return the necessary HTML for it.
