Grid field validation error causes settings loss

If I create a grid and go through the process of configuring each column, and get caught by a validation error (like giving the short name a duplicate of an existing field), the grid settings get wiped.

Thanks, Iain. I can reproduce somewhat. For me, the first column gets wiped but the rest of the columns stay intact.
Can you tell me what browser you’re seeing this in? Any JS errors in the console?
