Hello after lots of research on the internet I have found myself at a loss what to do. Please can anyone help. I am looking at a way of upgrading a EE1 plugin to work on EE2x please can anyone guide me in the right direction of what i need to do??.

I would be very thankful of some help.

Thanks

Is the plugin something you designed and developed? If not and you’re not familiar with EE Add-On development, you’d possibly be better off just looking for a replacement plugin. What is the plugin?

It is a plugin which a developer here has created

If you provide the name of the plugin, then I can tell you if there is a replacement. If you just keep calling it plugin, I can’t be helpful. I spend more time supporting people on ExpressionEngine StackExchange than here. So keep my attention while you have it. Provide full details.

I do apologize that that’s a little snippy, but your question needs details, not reiteration. If you actually provided the details that are important, such as:

I’m using plugin (plugin name: html_strip, or word limiter) by so and so and there doesn’t seem to be a version for EE2. Can it be modified, is there an alternative, or what can I do to make it EE2 compatible.

I can try to get you an answer before I leave the forums for today, which is in the next 15 minutes.
