Hi,
At the moment we have various sites and web applications that will ultimately have to speak with each other, or preferably coordinate via EE at the center. One of the primary apps is a Learning Management System (LMS). I’m ready to build a hackish add-on to get what I need done ASAP but I absolutely hate doing that sort of thing (but I have little-to-no choice, I’m lucky I even get to use EE, development needs to be that rapid). I’m just curious if anything exists to expose member information to trusted “apps”. If not, then maybe a skeleton module I could use which has a decent interface in the Control Panel that I could edit to my needs (add/remove/modify “apps” (name, app id, app secret, app host), basically a list or table of text inputs)?
I’m afraid I don’t have the time to learn/do what I’m visualizing in my head and so would have to create something custom and configuration aspects would hard-coded (which will be a pain between dev/production, but one i’ll have to bear alone, oh the agony).
TL;DR
I’m looking to do the reverse of Fritzinger’s thread: another app/site looks to EE to see if a user is logged into EE has some way of linking EE’s member identifier or other member data with its own.
If not that then at least a module with a list-based configuration in the CP that I can use as a base to build at least the CP part of my own module.
thanks.
