Hi there,

The company I work for offers training courses, and currently if you want to enrol on a course, you have to be registered with the website. However, the website is a bit clunky in places, and this is one of those areas. As I didn’t build the site, and am not really a developer - I was hoping for some pointers on what the best solution might be for making the site…. less clunky.

So like I said, if you want to enrol on a course - clicking on the course registration button if you are not logged in will tell you that you need to do so before you can enrol, or create a new account if you’re not already a member.

If you’re a member, it all works nicely - you login, and the enrolment form gets populated with the user’s details. However, if you have to register wit the website, you get taken away to the standard registration form (I think User by Solspace) - fill out all your info etc. Once you have completed the form, it takes you to a “Thank you” page, and informs you that an email will be sent to you to authenticate your account.

This is the clunk!

Ideally I would like the user to then click a button that takes them back to the Enrolment page and all the info is filled out for them, even though they may not have authenticated their account yet. Or, the page they land on once they’ve authenticated the link in the email, has a link to take them back to the original Enrolment page.

I just don’t understand how pages keep track of this kind of information, or whether it’s possible?

Any ideas? Ideally simple ones 😉
