Need suggestions/help on creating photo/image slideshow with EE

My question is whether it’s possible within EE 2.4 to integrate slideshow functionality for blog posts, or if add-ons are available to accomplish this. Specifically, when readers click on a photo or image in a blog post, the image would expand/resize and bring up a window that would allow the reader to sequence through the photos/images in that particular blog post.
I’ve seen this functionality on a number of WordPress blogs and was hoping it could be done with EE. Thanks.
There are many ways to do this, but one that springs to mind is by using the Channel images module from http://www.devdemon.com/channel_images/
That would give you an images field for each blog post, the module would then generate thumbnails for you, linked to the full size versions. Add a lightbox javascsript and you have a “popup” image gallery where you could browse each image.

Good question. But it leads me to ask…Does EE have the equivalent of a WordPress shortcode?
Why not use free software to create photo slideshow http://www.photodvdburner.com/support/create-jpg-photo-slideshow.phpthen put it to Youtube, then you can add the link to the blog, it will be OK
