I started this project as way to learn how to write EE 2.0 Ad-Ons. https://github.com/tedgeving

Screen Shot

The Extension will copy an existing Publish Page Layout from one channel/group to another channel/group, install it in third_party/plugins/clone_layout

After a majority of the code was written I realized that it would function smoother if it was written as module instead of an extension. Also I don’t really like how the control page feels. Is not very user friendly if the layout names are really long, or if there are a “ton” of layouts. The drop down menus get too hard to use.

Right now, I see it more of an EE developer tool, still in the development phase. I would not feel comfortable letting clients access this extension. Too easy to break something.

Thought it might save some developers a bit time if they had many page layouts to copy/create.

Have at it let me know what you think.

Thanks Ted
