Image Manipulations for Category Images

Just wondering if I’ll be able to access image manipulations at the category level like I can at the channel:entries level?
Or if the category_image tag will be available as a tag pair?

No, those were not added. The image manipulations and tag pair only work for the file field at the moment. I’ll add it to our backlog, but it won’t be in 2.4.
