Hi guys,

Really hoping you can help. I’m developing a system whereby I have the need for a user to be able to login with username, email address or a piece of custom data from a third party module.

Is it possible to do this without hacking the core code?

Is there a hook I can use in order to build an extension?

Thanks in advance, Joe

Hi, Joe. Any sort of programming questions such as these are more on topic for the Development and Programming forum.

Moving there for additional community support.

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom they could pass on for this? It really is core functionality for the system I’m building and I’m reluctant to hack into the code if I can avoid it.

Thanks, Joe
