Is it possible to set up a custom field which enables a user to select another page within EE to link to?

As an example I would like to be able to link a post to another post or template group index. I have tried using a Playa field which would enable me to select a post and the url can be output.

The problem is if I can only output the url title of the post it could be in any number of templates so how can I dynamically output the complete link?

Thanks,

Gareth

The issue you are running into is that, unless you are using the Pages module or an add-on like Structure EE doesn’t think about your site in terms of “Pages”. As you mention - one entry could be pulled to any number of templates to create the actual page.

Thanks Mike, I couldn’t see that it was possible, but just thought I would check. The more I am learning the more i try to push what I can do with EE.
