plugin returning array data?

Can you return a php array from a plugin? We posted a library over and noticed that it seems like we can only return a single piece of string data instead of the array data we had been returning.
If we cannot, we will have to go back to the library usage.

Nope, only a string can be returned. Or a class that has a __toString method.
