Repeating event in calendar w/ exclusions

We are looking for an efficient way to use the repeat feature in Solspace’s calendar that will allow exceptions for a certain date. For example, we want to add an event in the calendar that occurs every Wednesday and Sunday but select a certain date, like December 25th which is a Sunday, for the event not to display on the calendar. Does anyone have experience with this? If not with this extension, is there another one that you would suggest? Cheers.
