So one of our clients requested that we use their instagr.am on the website. After a small amount of research we found that instagram doesn’t have a PHP api (strange right?) So i came up with the idea of using a rss feed (if one existed) of the users images. Once again failure. Out the box Instagram offers a feed with “tagged” images. well None of our clients images are tagged and we shouldn’t require that we do that. So I stumble onto this site http://instagram.heroku.com/ and then I went to the help section, I was able to search by the clients twitter handel and get all of their images (small yay) and then at the top of the page was a link to a rss feed with all the images( big yay!).
then using magpie i was able to get this clients image feed into the site.
