Strange MySQL query results

Another EE newbie question…
I have a template which executes a MySQL query (I know, I know, probably not the best way to do things…). Mysteriously, the template renders fine when I access from Safari/Mac, but when rendering from FF4, the query fails!?! The query is using POSTed parameters from a form…I have been outputting the query text string for debugging purposes, and I can paste the query into phpMyAdmin and get the same result set I am getting in Safari. Very strange, any insight is much appreciated…thanks, David
