member_member_register don’t work from inside CP?

I’m using the “member_member_register” hook for when a new member is being registered. Everything works fine but when someone adds a new member from inside the CP “Register member” it doesn’t fire.
Is that suppose to happen or a bug? If it is suppose to happen is there an additional hook for when a new member is being registered that way? (Didn’t find anything in the docs)

member_member_register is a front-end hook only.
For the CP, look at the Control Panel Member Hooks.

I know there’s suppose to be some support changes coming but this is kinda wierd to me being a “community support question” when it’s obvious a direct related question regarding the actual ExpressionEngine application functionality, no?

Can I run the same extension function on two different hooks? (just add it to the extensions table maybe?)
