Hi all,

I’m going to point the Newism guys this way but I’m sure one of you lot can diagnose this.

Whenever I try to edit a custom field type or create a new one I get this error…

An Error Was Encountered
Unable to load requested field type file: ft.nsm_morphine_theme.php.
Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory

The theme is installed and up to date. This happens even if I disable the theme.

Many thanks

This error occurs because ExpressionEngine is unable to locate the ft.nsm_morphine_theme.php file, which is likely related to a third-party field type not being properly installed or configured. Here’s how to resolve it. Ensure that ft.nsm_morphine_theme.php is actually located in the following directory:

The NSM Morphine Theme is a third-party add-on for ExpressionEngine that customizes the control panel’s appearance. After updating to ExpressionEngine 2.0, you may encounter errors related to custom fields due to compatibility issues between the theme and the new version.

Possible Causes:

  1. Incompatibility with ExpressionEngine 2.0: The NSM Morphine Theme may not be fully compatible with ExpressionEngine 2.0, leading to errors when managing custom fields.
  2. Outdated Theme Version: Using an older version of the theme that doesn’t support the latest ExpressionEngine features can cause conflicts.
