Hiya,

I’m currently trying to find out how you send a multi format email using the Email Class in ExpressionEngine 1.x

Currently the email class can set the mailtype=’text’ or mailtype=’html’.

I might be wrong on this but it’s my understanding that if I send a mail set to use html as the mailtype then anyone that has html set to no in their email browser will possibly get nothing showing up at all?

If so then how do you send a multi type email using the Email Class?

Thanks for any help on this.

Best wishes,

Mark

Just wondering on this one.

Does anyone know if perhaps when you use the Email class set to html does it perhaps send a plain text alternative anyway?

I only ask as I just sent a html mail using the class and took a look at it using webmail on the server and it showed a link to see a plain text alternative. I’m just not sure if that plain text alternative was created automatically by the webmail programme or if perhaps ExpressionEngine created and sent it?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

Mark
