Hello everyone,

Seems like this should be an easy fix; not sure what I’ve done wrong…sure seems like I have everything in place!

I have a new install of the latest version of EE2 & MSM on a server. I have installed the EE2 Textile plugin. My textarea fields DO have the ability to become Textile fields. I’ve changed by “Body” custom field to Textile.

Then, I grabbed the Textile Editor Helper (TEH) extension from imagehat’s Git and installed that as well.

The third party theme path is correct in the Settings.

However, when I go to publish in a channel, the body field still has that empty / blank bar above it with the + sign to add my own custom HTML buttons. I figured the TEH would set up a bar of the Textile fields, correct?

Is there something basic I’m doing wrong? I’ve checked permissions about 100 times. The EE2 version doesn’t need a jQuery for the CP extension or anything, does it? Because it doesn’t seem like one exists for EE2 (because it’s included, I’m assuming, by default).

You all have only been helpful on the forums. Thank you, once again, in advance for your assistance.

For anyone else who has this issue, check the following:

Make sure all permissions on the folders is open to the web user; mine were by default not, but I did fix this.

Then, I found that when giving a Textarea a formatting option of Textile, I need to have all of these options set:

Default Text Formatting for This Field: Textile Allow override on publish page? Yes Show Formatting Buttons: Yes

I also show Writemode, but that’s just my preference.

My issue has been resolved.
