Nesting Addon Tag Inside Channel Entries Tag

I’m using the LikEE module and would like to get a list of the most liked entries – no problem with the exp:likee:likes tag – but need to pull custom fields from the entries. I thought this would work:

{exp:channel:entries channel="channel_name" entry_id="{exp:likee:likes backspace="1"}
{entry_id}|{/exp:likee:likes}"}

But that doesn’t work – I get no results.

(I’ve already posted on the LikEE Get Satisfaction account but haven’t gotten a reply.)

I’ve tried using snippets and embedded templates already. Outside the channel entries tag the likee:likes tag works as expected.

Is there a way to force the module to parse before the channel:entries tag?
