Hello,

I’m sure this would be common for EE / CI developers and their projects. How to integrate EE and CI sessions, in order to be available across EE website and CI application(s).

Did anybody already do that or has any thoughts about it?

Sounds difficult, I’m not jealous! Especially since EE overwrites so much of the CI session class.

Are you planning on integrating user accounts as well? Without that I can’t really see the benefit, but it seems like a daunting task..

Here’s the deal: we can use the same EE members table and (maybe) EE auth methods. I prefer to create pure CI auth method, logging the user in and creating the required by EE cookies. It would be great, if EE dev team can share a list of cookies, which are used in EE.

At the end of the day, we should have an EE website, connected with multiple CI applications and single members table and session. That way we’ll don’t have to use EE complexity in order to create MVC apps.

C’mon guys, this is gonna be hot feature! 😊
