Conditionally loading the .tab file?

Does anyone know how to conditionally load the .tab file? Returning FALSE or other similar methods throw errors. Nothing in the documentation speaks to this.

I guess you’re trying to hide the tab based on some logic. Returning an empty array rather than false in publish_tabs() method will not display a tab.
