I have been working on a 2.0-compatible version of the ee-ldap-extension hosted at google code. I posted my changes there but haven’t heard back from the developers. I could really use some feedback on the approach as I haven’t worked on EE before. Does this look like a good start?
Add a user to the “non-ldap users” in settings before enabling this extension, so you can still log in to the CP if there is an issue with the implementation or with your LDAP settings.
Thanks!
Thanks for trying it out… sorry it blocks login. In the extension settings you can specify usernames that don’t use ldap to help debug, but that only works if you can log in to the CP to begin with! Maybe the extension should require a non-ldap-username be specified before it can be enabled, if possible.
It was not a big deal as long as super admin is logged in…if you log out it becomes an obstacle. Easy to remove the extension through db but I am sure it will throw off some users. Have not had a luck to connect but it could my settings…it has been a while since I messed with ldap.
