Custom Field in Creating New user .

Hi ! I have created users using (Admin + Register New Member) . But I want to have an Custom field in that Registration process. How can I do it .

Also I would like to know if add a field directly in <EXP_MEMBERS> table and use the User module developed by SOLSPACE will it work .
