Hi everyone,

This accessory was born out of my frustration for forgetting what I name my custom fields, snippets and global variables. Now, you have an accessory to use as reference for building your templates. Just click on the EE variable you want to use and it will copy it to your clipboard.

Your feedback is appreciated! Matthew

Very nice. I’ll be checking this out on our sites in development.

Matthew showed this to me while at EECI and it is absolutely brilliant. Thanks Matthew!

Ah, that’s awesome work! I’ve been thinking about making something like that myself, now I don’t have to - thanks! 😊

Hi matthew, i found a small problem with it’s referencing of css and js files. I’ve installed this on a site i’m building which is in a subfolder of my main site (john.com/dev). The way you’re referencing the files doesn’t allow for this.

Cheers

John

And in fact, as the theme folder name is configurable in EE you’ll want to change where you’ve hard coded it to “theme”.

Great, great accessory this is BTW, really, really, really useful. Honestly the amount of times i’ve cursed at forgetting the name of a snippet and had to stop and go back.

Awesome.

@all: Thanks for the kudos.

@audiopleb: I’ll update the plugin to pull the EE theme folder. Thanks for the heads up.

It’s these sorts of things which get me excited about the possibilities of EE2. Good work!

Just a little tip: You can modify EE Accessories to only display in certain areas of the control panel. A great fit for this accessory is to have it only display in the design section.

Cheers, [mk]

Awesome tip, to add to that you can have it display to certain member groups so enable it only for those with template access.

Sweet, thanks Matthew! I remember you mentioning this to me and Brandon on our walk; super useful, nice and simple interface. Appreciate the easy copy-paste part, too!!!
