Strange thing going on here. I’m working on an extension that introduces some new parameters to entry editing permissions.

When I check the $SESS->userdata[‘group_id’] value it appears to always be 1, even if I log in as a new member that is in a separate group with control panel access. Their group ID should be 7, not 1.

The function that is doing this check is called as part of a response to the show_full_control_panel_start hook.

Any ideas what might be going on?

Well I’m still not really sure what was going on, but I think it was because of using multiple browser tabs. When logging out I was actually still under my main account, not really in the new member account. :red:
