Thanks for the throwing up those screens, Tom. Glad you’re enjoying OpenGateway & Membrr! Awesome work on the EE skin, too.

And, yes, Tom is right. OpenGateway just passes through transactions to your payment processor. So, you can set your payment gateway to TEST mode and OpenGateway will respect that. Other notes for testing:

1) You can use PayPal’s sandbox so anyone can get an account there and plug those credentials into OpenGateway.

2) Most gateways have test credentials so you can plug those into the system and put it into “Test mode” in OpenGateway. This will tell us to use that gateway’s public testing servers (e.g., “test.paymentprocessor.com” instead of “live.paymentprocessor.com”).

3) The PayPal Express Checkout works with just a plain ol’ free PayPal account. Just pop in your API credentials and you’re done (from your PayPal Profile page).
