New Extension: Entry Notifier

We just released a new extension called Entry Notifier.
This extension allows a publisher of an entry to create any number of email addresses to be notified when somebody has commented on that entry.
You can customize the email that is sent out to the people that are notified so that they can see the date, time, name, email, comment and other fields associated with each comment before viewing it on the site.
The best part is it is FREE!

This is really close to something I was just asked about. If there was a way to let people sign themselves up to follow an entry so that they are emailed when there are new comments, but not have to submit a comment themselves to be signed up, this would be perfect.
I guess the difference would be that instead of the author having to enter the email addresses, the guests could submit their own email to a list.
That is a really great idea. I haven’t heard of anything like that either but if I do I’ll let you know.
