In 2004, there was an ExpressionEngine plugin called ECS by Christian Leu. This handy tool let users search the Amazon product catalog for a single item by ISBN, ASIN, item number, or multiple items by keyword, and display them in the page with the latest prices, images, descriptions and more, straight from Amazon.
It also was the easiest way to create affiliate URLs.
But in 2009, Amazon changed the security requirements (and the name) of its product search – and the ECS plugin no longer worked … until now…

We’ve completely refactored the code, making it compatible with the latest Amazon product search API, and adding some additional useful features.
If you need to search for and display Amazon products in your ExpressionEngine Web site, this is the way to do it!
(AWS Product 2.0.0 is compatible with EE 1.6.8 and requires PHP 5 with simple_xml. Now installing at a site near you.)
