Erksing Design ED Image Resizer Problems

Has anyone managed to get this Ed Image Resizer to work on a Media Temple server with EE 2 ?

I have tried relative and full paths and my page just goes blank when I add the tags. I set debug to true but I can’t get any error messages to write out on the site.

Any advice to an EE newbie please, this is my first third party add on installation
