Planet/EE Search Results 1.1 (1.6.x and 2.x)
This straight forward, easy-to-use module gives you greater control over your search results without having to add PHP scripts to your templates, modify the EE core files, or use the SQL query tags. We built this out of our own need to give our web designers control of the way result sets are rendered in the templates. This is a great investment if you want to quickly group, filter, and sort your results with more control than the built-in results function. Give it a try.
Key Features
* Group result records by any field
* Sort and control visibility of the grouped fields
* Include XHTML in your Excerpts
* Sort result records by any field
* Highlight your search terms
* Control the size of the excerpt displayed
* Use custom fields in search results
* Control the size of the pages
* Sort in ascending and descending order
* Use conditional tags within the search result tags
Also
* Expanded upgrade term to lifetime
* Single download for both EE codebases

Hiya,
Looks like a great little module you’ve created there, well done.
Just wondering if you’ve considered creating a 1.6.x version at all?
Best wishes,
Mark
P.S. Also a quick heads-up that when you go to your Data Integrator page it has the same title as the Form Builder page. These all look really interesting so can’t wait to see what you are cooking up with those two.
How about some way of segmenting the sortby feature such that results could be put in a tabbed format, rather than a list. So for for example I could build a tab around news results and another around blog results, rather than a serial list of all results. Not east to describe, but I think you’ll get my drift.
Let me make sure we understand.
Add a way to generate group-based links/result-sets instead of returning the actual entries.
Example: Search many channels via some search form Result page groups by channel Result page returns link/tabs to every channel (that can be style as tabs or some navigational links) User clicks on link/tab that brings up the resulting entries for that channel.
Is that the use case you mean?
