I followed the instructions for installing the newly released NSM Livelook extension.
Clearly something isn’t right as I don’t have the much anticipated tab to show the preview.
I can’t see it in the list of tabs to choose from when expanding the toolbar either. Any clues what else might need to be done?
The only addition to the installation instructions I can remember is that I had to enable extensions and it then prompted me to enable ‘extensions’ and a ‘fieldtype’ - having done so that choice is no longer available.
Running 2.0.1pb01
Hi - have you got this to work yet?
Have you installed the 3 items - module, fieldtype and extension?
I’ve currently run into the situation where i can see the tab but its full of errors because i can’t add in any preview URLs in the plug-in configuration/settings area.
As far as I remember I did.
Your reply prompted me to have another go. I’d removed all traces of the module - partly to avoid having non-functional clutter and partly because I’m beta testing another EE module. Followed the instructions, installed the module and the components (which show as installed). This time, however, I cannot even get to the settings for NSM Livelook as it shows as greyed out in the modules list (and as Installed) and doesn’t give me a URL to get to the settings.
So, no, it doesn’t work for me yet.
The only change in the interim is that I’ve updated to the latest build of EE2. Will check for any strange permissions on the folder but not sure what else I can do. I’ve raised an issue on the github project site for the module - see http://github.com/newism/nsm.live_look.ee_addon/issues/issue/1. Might be worth you doing the same.
Cheers
Hi - have you got this to work yet?
Getting there. I now have a Newism Livelook Tab in the Publish / Edit tab set (I haven’t found a way to add a url for this though).
There was some corruption or oddity in the exp_modules table had Tag with has_publish_fields set to ‘n’ - should be ‘y’.
No thanks to me for this - Paul Burdick pointed this out, hence many thanks to him. It might have happened in the transition to EE2 - beginning to think it might have been wise to disable all extensions before upgrade since it looks as though some extensions, which cannot yet work with EE2, cannot now easily have their remnants removed without editing the database directly.
The problem that I now have is that under Extension Settings for Livelook there seems to be no button or field through which I can add a preview URL hence I have the tab but still no preview.
