Hi Brad,

Hello Mark, Could you tell me what you have as your CP Admin path? Also what URL you are using to login into your CP? Brad

http://www.*****.co.uk/admin/index.php

That’s set in Admin->System Preferences->General Configuration under URL to your Control Panel Index page. That’s also the URL I use to login to the CP with.

Hello Mark, I was able to get Tagger working out of the box… 1) Do you actually see the Publish Tab call “Tags” with the little icon?

If I set it up in the preferences to say Tags then yes a tab does appear but no icon on it.

2) What does your “URL to your Control Panel index page” say?

As above.

3) What is your actual URL? Do they match? Are you using any strange rewrites or other server settings?

What do you mean by my actual URL and what should it be matching exactly?

4) What is your server configuration?

PHP 5.2.3 not too sure what else you need?

Best wishes,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Well the icon missing tells me something. It appears that is isn’t connecting to your themes folder. Please try re-uploading the devdemon_themes folder to your base “/themes/” directory.

You should get a little icon. The plugin also use javascript from the themes folder to manage things. It appears this is where the connection is missing.

Somethings JS will mess up if the url structure is different for example:

http://www.devdemon.com/system/index.php as CP

But you login into:

http://devdemon.com/system/index.php

The different in the URL structure causes the JS to not work correctly. Several modules have problems when this occurs.

See the attached image for what you should see.

Please try re-uploading that directory. Clear your cache and login again. If you still can’t see it I would really like to login into your test site with ftp access and CP access to look around. Need to make sure this doesn’t happen to others. I can’t reproduce it here…

Regards,

Brad Parscale

Well that might well be it. The Themes folder!!! 😊

It’s not in the download on your site. At least I don’t get that folder when un-zipping the file at least.

I even mentioned the scripts pointing to that folder above didn’t I and didn’t even think to remember that I hadn’t installed those.

Possibly there’s an error in the download in that case as I don’t have a themes folder anywhere in the package.

Best wishes,

Mark

Please ignore me I’m an idiot!!!

Themes folder now found, located, installed and working.

Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry about that :-(

Been an exceptionally long week working on a client site that’s about to go live next week. Can’t believe that I missed that. That’s the first time ever I’ve missed some files to upload. Boy do I feel stupid now!! 😊

Best wishes,

Mark

Hello Mark,

Can you try re-downloading it? I just did on my Mac and the files are there. Going over to a crappy PC 😉 to try real quick.

No worries!

I am glad we have everything working. Would love for you to test it and play around. At least if someone else runs into the problem they will be up and running fast!

If you could, please update your first post so everyone knows it is working… Thanks!!

Also just to let you know that it seems to work fine on a localhost install too.

Sending myself to the back of the class for a while now whilst I get over the embarrassment!! 😉

Yep thanks to my stupid error! 😉 I’m sure people won’t have that problem though. Still kicking myself for having done that! Or more importantly not doing that! 😊

If you could, please update your first post so everyone knows it is working… Thanks!! Brad

Updated.

Best wishes,

Mark

Hello, if I want to replace simple tags with Tagger Lite, is it possible to keep the already existing tags?

Well not directly, since there is no import feature built in. We are planning to update Tagger Lite with some new features but it can take a while. Maybe a month or two.
