Cool! Just a few more thoughts then… please don’t take these as criticism - they are purely suggestion for things that may well be very easy for you to implement and may add a lot of flexability, and therefore sellability to your module - feel free to not do any of them!
The Categories - this looks like you assign a series of categories to the images of a particular weblog - could you instead pull from a channel category set? This could make it more consistent with the site itself, reduce redundant data and speed the process up.
It looks like the categories are a drop down list when you assign them to images - would a series of checkboxes be more appropriate? For normal Channel Categories, I almost always add the add-on that turns the list to checkboxes - I know you can hold down Ctrl and select several, but clients don’t always get that.
What image resizing options are there? In Imgsizer you can set to auto, width, or height… you can make it default to squares based on the shortest (or was it longest?) side, etc. If you could add a class field in the image row, after width / height and quality, you would also allow some very flexible CSS options (like the floating left / right I mentioned earlier) - then you’d just create more specific size options like Thumb (left), Thumb (right), Full width etc.
Just thoughts!!
Hello Moogaloo,
Categories and dealing with the width/height/auto are two of the items first on our list to update in Channel Images. However, I felt like it was strong enough to get out the door now.
You can already do the CSS stuff through the tag, but having a drop down for css classes or something could be useful.
