Limiting a field to a specific entry

Often times I have specific fields that are unique to one particular entry only, and go unused throughout all other entries in the weblog. This is confusing for most users and it’d be preferable to simply hide that field in all other entries that do not require it.

I think it would be a worthy feature to be able to drill down like that. An upgrade to Gypsy would look something like the attached image.

Just putting this out there to see if I’m not the only one. Thoughts?

You could create a different weblog for those fields and link that to your one specific entry in the other weblog. That way your users wouldn’t see the fields and you could still have it show up using the related entries tag.
