This is a WYMIWYG, or WYMEditor Field type for EE 2.0 only. It has skins for the Corporate, Default, and Fruit themes. You can define your own CSS file for the options on the right when creating the field.

Download Here

Please post any support related issues over at Get Satisfaction. Thanks.

sounds good. I’ve enjoyed Iain’s similar FF extension for 1.6.*

Bah, screw waiting till next week. Releasing it now. Initial tests work great for me. Just report any bugs here. Have to download it from my site due to the forum attachment limit of 200kb.

wym.css:

Iain’s Handy Dandy Note: Base styles can be found: /extensions/fieldtypes/iain_wymeditor/wymeditor/iframe/default/wymiframe.css

probably not applicable anymore?

There is a wym.css file. It’s in system/expressionengine/third_party/wymeditor/wym.css. Since there don’t appear to be global settings for field types yet, you have to defined the CSS path for each field in the field settings.

I just tried to install wymeditor and had a problem. I don’t know if the problem is in EE or wymeditor.

When I go into utilities/Fieldtypes Manager, I get a blank page with the error “No direct script access allowed”. Does anyone know what could cause this?

The problem is definitely in wymeditor. When I deleted wymeditor the problem went away.

Any ideas on how I can get past this? I really want to try it out as I have some gripes with wygwam.

I haven’t gotten that error. Can you tell me what script it’s trying to load in Firebug? Which one is failing/404?

Mark, you are using EE 2.0?

I’m using EE 1.6.8.

This version is meant only for EE 2.0. Try Iain’s WYMEditor for 1.6 http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/extensions/wymeditor/

I’m sorry to bother you. I didn’t notice that anywhere.

Not sure if I’m missing a step, but I’m getting this error:

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Notice

Message: Undefined index: site_url

Filename: wymeditor/ft.wymeditor.php

Line Number: 67

The WYMEditor shows up correctly and the text is saved when I click on “submit”, but this error is displayed again and the page stops. I have to manually enter the admin url into my browser to go back into the CP.

Do you have the main URL to your site defined in the Admin > General Configuration?
