Troubleshooting nGen File Field

Development and Programming

Hi all,

I posted here a few days ago, but couldn’t get anything figured out. I thought maybe those of you more familiar with how extensions work might be able to help me troubleshoot. Screenshot attached below.

I’m using the nGen File Field (outside of FF Matrix) and the “use exisiting file” & “delete [filename]” links have no icons in the CP publish/edit pages.

This wouldn’t even be a huge deal if the buttons worked, but they don’t. No behaviors are being attached to the buttons (via jQuery, I assume). I know the pages are loading the jQuery framework, however b/c the linked scripts are in the header if I View Source on a Publish or Edit page.

BTW, files do upload.

What I’ve already done:

Reinstalled nGen File Field. Only two running extensions are FrameField and jQuery for CP. Updated jQuery for CP to the latest versions (1.4.0 and 1.7.2 for UI) & verified paths. Cleared out the cache. Verified that upload directories have permissions CHMOD’d to 777.

What is the next thing I should check? I’m running up against a deadline and can’t seem to figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to give an update…It turns out that the issue was not the nGen Field File fieldtype, but with a corrupted installation of FieldFrame 1.3.5.

A clean reinstall of everything fixed the problem! :cheese:
