We have one weblog out of 3 that loads extremely slow. The first time you load it this is typical:
Script executed in 70.3524 seconds 26 SQL queries used
It seems like after you have loaded it once, it gets better but is still unbelievably slow:
Script executed in 34.7602 seconds 26 SQL queries used
It’s using FieldFrame Matrix + nGen, which I’ve never had a problem with so I don’t think that’s the issue (?). I turned on template debugging but there is no output on the CP side. The build is 20091002.
I’m at a loss as to what it could be. Thanks for any help!

Ewn: I have dealt w/ really pages loading slowly due to nGen file fieldtype.
A good habit is to create a separate upload directory for each form you’re using.
I had a upload directory for images and multiple field groups used this directory and it began to creep, because it has something to do w/ looking thru the entire directory, so the more items that ended up within that directory, the slower it would run.
That is probably your problem, also you may want to increase your php memory limit in your htaccess.
f you don’t NEED it activated, the biggest help is to disable the “use an existing file” feature from your nGen field.
This is great advice, but I don’t see this config anywhere. Can you tell me where to look? I have CP pages taking three minutes to load. It sucks.
Thanks! d
