Webee Quick adds a quick and easy way to change the status of an entry in the edit entries window. The extension adds an extra column with a select field, select an other status and it will change it quick and easy. The select field only shows statuses available for the appropriate member group.

Download Webee Quick

Man I have been looking for something like this for a long time.

I like what you have done, I just have one issue with the design. I am using several extensions that show thumbnails and other custom fields so my edit screen is already crammed. Any way you could use the built in checkbox by each entry with the select box at the bottom of the edit screen? This would achieve the same functionality without taking up so much real-estate.

In any case, thanks for the dope extension.

That is indeed a great suggestion. I will incorporate it into the next version. I think i will be 2010 before it’s released, until then you can use the current version. Thanks for the positive words btw 😊

FYI – Easyopen does this using checkboxes, although, as-is, Easyopen breaks the “delete” option. I posted the fix we used below in the thread linked if you’re interested.

EasyOpen looks good! However does it support all statuses or just open/close? I almost always use more statuses then the basic open/close.

I think the statuses are hard-coded, so a hybrid of Webee Quick and Easyopen would be great.

Webee Quick gets all statuses from the database, a hybrid would be an option. Maybe talk some more? I’m on Twitter on the account @onnogroen or @webee_addons and on facebook etc.

Mr. Wilson created Easyopen so you may want to try to get in touch with him – although he’s been keeping a low profile lately. We just patched that one issue.

I’m working on version 2.0 of Webee Quick, this version includes extra select options in the bottom most select field.

Release is unknown, I’m facing some difficulties to extend the select options to all statuses and not just open/close.

Hi, great extension it’s just what I need to streamline editing entries. There is an issue with this working with the Seesaw extension where when that’s enabled as well the page doesn’t submit when you choose a new status.

I’m guessing something is conflicting with the two. Do you know of a similar extension to Seesaw that would work with Weebee Quick or a possible fix?

At the moment I’m too busy to really finish Webee Quick. There will be a new version that will work with different addons etc. On Devot-ee I’ve read the following about Seesaw:

“It does not (yet) work with Brandon Kelly’s Gypsy. If you encounter other incompatibilities, please email me.”

Maybe you can try contacting John D. Wells.

I am working on a new version but it’s long from finished.

That’s no problem, thanks for your reply. I’ll get in touch with John and get back if I get a fix

great extension, just 2 little comments: it would be nice if it would only show the related status for the given weblog. also it would be a good option not to reload the page after changing one status, rather change a lot and save the entries after submit. (that way you could set up a nice overview with seesaw and still edit the status of an entry quickly.)
